I like it! One push: “Authenticate scientific expertise through secure digital credentials”

Is this necessary? If the work speaks for itself, who cares about credentialed expertise. I know idiots w phds and A+ thinkers w/ no formal degrees. Isn’t this the complete view of rethinking trust in science?

The "credentials" I'm talking about don't need to be academic. Science is a way of approaching the world, inviting debate and gathering support. Reputation (along with identity) is part of that exercise. That's the purpose.

I've seen far too many scientists online who spend their time debunking anonymous clickbait posts from users like this dude:

What I really need is someone who knows how to implement this. In my (simple) mind, it should be an injection of HTML into a social media post and the establishment of a credentialing blockchain that allows identity verification (securely/encrypted).
